KENSINGTON NEW BUILD

Four storeys above ground level and three storeys beneath the house and rear garden, including a swimming pool.

Double fronted classic Victorian townhouse

This project involved the refurbishment and reconfiguration of a double fronted, classic Victorian townhouse in Kensington.

The Clients brief was to create a light filled, elegant yet functional family home. As keen art collectors they wanted to create a backdrop for their collection which would enhance each piece.

We worked closely with Interior Designer Atelier T-Delight to rationalise the plan, maximise the feeling of space and bring more light into the centre of the house. This was achieved by extending to the rear and repositioning the staircase, freeing up the plan on each level.

New family home redevelopment

This was originally a vacant land site. Jones Lambell gained planning permission to redevelop the site to form a new single family house. There are four storeys above ground level and three storeys beneath the house and rear garden. The new basement includes a swimming pool with rising floor to provide a party room adjacent to the spa, sauna and gym areas.

Georgian Grade II listed Terraced

This was a complete refurbishment with the addition of a new basement which extended below the existing lower ground floor and under half of the rear garden. The rear elevation of the house was remodelled to extend the Master Bedroom suite, to add a first floor Music Room and provide a sunny, south facing first floor terrace which sits on the flat roof of the new Ground Floor Study.

The new Study’s full width bifolding doors give access via a short stair to the redesigned garden which included a glass bottomed pond, the bottom of which allows dappled sunlight to penetrate into the basement double height family room below.
